Square footage is very difficult to pin down because everyone’s space is different. Factors such as ceiling height, room shape, number and location of windows and doors and level of constantly incoming contaminants each have a unique effect on the amount of space that can be filtered in a given period of time. Instead, we like to say that our standard size unit is our most efficacious unit in larger interior spaces and for those customers with specific air quality concerns or health concerns. I have included the CFM calculator which will help you determine how many air changes per hour you can achieve in any given space.
The CFM by speed for the standard size unit is: High 250, Medium 125, Low 47
The CFM by speed for the junior size unit is: High 125, Medium 62.5, Low 31.25
As with most purifiers, the machine is run by a fan…Clean air will matriculate into other areas but it is going to be concentrated in the open space it is put in.
We typically recommend placing the unit in a corner of the room, 4”-6” away from the wall as it has a 360-degree intake system. Our machines are steel fabricated, powder coated, with 360-degree intake system with directional air flow. Why is directional air flow important? Directional air flow will create a sort of air vortex within a space creating a pocket of clean air throughout the space. The vast majority of our competition does not have directional air flow and therefore, the cleanest air is going to be directly around the purifier itself.
